Bilt points, sometimes called Bilt Rewards points, are best known as the currency you earn on rent, mortgage payments, and everyday purchases. They're worth the most when you transfer them to airline and hotel partners and book award flights or nights.
Bilt's partner list is the most complete of any transferable currency. It lets you transfer points to programs that previously had been exclusive to a single card issuer, like Amex or Chase. And even when an airline isn't on the list, like Delta, you can still book those flights through their alliance partners.
What are Bilt transfer partners?
Bilt Rewards transfers to 24 airline and hotel loyalty programs (17 airlines and 7 hotel programs), and almost all of them use a 1:1 ratio.
Bilt is the only major card issuer that transfers to Atmos Rewards (Alaska and Hawaiian), and one of only two, along with Chase, that transfers to World of Hyatt and United MileagePlus.
Bilt points also transfer at a full 1:1 ratio to Emirates Skywards – the only currency to do so.
Transfer Bilt points to JAL Mileage Bank at a 1:1 ratio, no premium card required.
Most Bilt points transfers happen instantly, but a few, like Southwest, take longer.
The minimum transfer is 2,000 points, and they must be moved in 1,000-point increments. Users who achieve higher Bilt tiers (Silver, Gold, or Platinum) can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points.
On the first of each month, known to Bilt fans as “Rent Day,” Bilt often runs transfer bonuses that scale, depending on your card status (Blue, Silver, Gold, or Platinum, depending on your annual card spend). Bonus partners and ratios can change, so confirm the current ratio before you move points.
Bilt is really for someone who values the transfer partner list and wants to either earn points with only one currency, or make it the complementary program to an existing currency where they already have a lot of points.

The complete list of Bilt transfer partners
Bilt's transfer partners let you move your points straight into an airline or hotel loyalty account, usually instantly. (Southwest, which takes up to 72 hours, is an exception.) Once the points arrive, you can book award flights or nights through that partner program. Here's every Bilt partner with its alliance, transfer ratio, and typical transfer time.

Five brands really carry this list.
United MileagePlus and World of Hyatt, which are otherwise exclusive to Chase.
JAL Mileage Bank, which receives your Bilt points at a full 1:1 value; other banks give you fewer miles per point.
Atmos Rewards (the combined loyalty program of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines) transfers at a 1:1 ratio, which can only be achieved with Bilt points.
Emirates Skywards has maintained its 1:1 transfer ratio with Bilt, even after every other major bank devalued the transfers or walked away from this partner entirely.

Among all the hotel partners on this list, World of Hyatt is the one that really matters. Chase and Bilt are the only major card issuers that let you transfer points to Hyatt, and Bilt maintains a full 1:1 transfer ratio on every card. The rest of the hotel list (Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards, Wyndham, Accor, Preferred's I Prefer) works best when you’re topping up an existing balance to achieve a specific reward.
What makes Bilt transfer partners valuable?
Most points credit cards make you choose which transfer partner gaps you can live with: no Hyatt, no United, no full-value JAL. Bilt covers all of them with one currency, and you only need one card to earn it and make transfers. If you want to transfer points to JAL at full (1:1) value, to Alaska and Hawaiian through Atmos, and to Hyatt without a premium card, no other single currency delivers.
There is, of course, a tradeoff here, and it’s on the earning side. Each Bilt card makes you choose an earning model, and the right choice depends on how much rent or mortgage you can pay through Bilt, and how your card spending on other purchases stacks up against it. It's rewarding if you learn the system and confusing if you don't. Nobody should pick a Bilt card off a description alone. Use a calculator and run your own numbers.
What are the best Bilt transfer partners?
The best Bilt transfer partner depends on which trip you want to take. Hyatt tends to offer the best value for hotels, United and JAL are the partners of choice for desirable flights, Atmos is great for fixed-price award deals, and Emirates is the winner for routes that simply aren’t covered well by other airlines. Each of these partners could be the right choice for a specific traveler, depending on their needs.
Transfer Bilt points to World of Hyatt for outsized hotel value
The sweet spot: Lower and mid-category Hyatt properties. It’s hard to find another transfer partner that offers this much value. Hyatt also waives resort and destination fees on award stays, so compare the full cash total, not the nightly rate when you’re doing the math.
Who it's for: Travelers who value hotels over flights. Bilt points get a full-ratio Hyatt transfer without having to carry a premium card, which even Chase no longer offers.
The catch: Hyatt re-sorts its property categories every year, and peak dates at top-tier properties can get pricey. Mid-tier stays are where the value stays reliably strong.
Transfer Bilt points to United MileagePlus for Star Alliance flights
The sweet spot: The direct-to-United transfer is a rare one in the industry. Among the major banks, only Chase and Bilt points transfer to United at a 1:1 ratio. United also adds no fuel surcharges on its own award flights or its Star Alliance partner flights, and you can cancel award tickets with no fees.
Who it's for: Domestic flyers who live near a United hub. It's also for anyone who wants to book Star Alliance airlines (Lufthansa, ANA, Swiss) without the fuel surcharges.
The catch: United saves its best Polaris awards seats for its own co-brand credit card holders and loyalty elites.
Transferring Bilt points to JAL Mileage Bank for premium cabins to Japan
The sweet spot: Japan Airlines releases far more award seats to its own members than to its partners, and Bilt lets you transfer at a full 1:1 value. If Japan is your dream trip, this is the transfer.
Who it's for: Travelers chasing business- or first-class seats to Asia, especially groups of two or more. Partner programs can often access just one premium seat per flight, while JAL shows its own members several.
The catch: You can book award flights for your family, but JAL places limits on this. Your fiancé, for example, doesn’t count as family in JAL’s eyes. Remember, too, that brand-new JAL accounts must go through a waiting period before you can book partner awards. Open the account well before you need it.
Transfer Bilt points to Atmos Rewards for Alaska, Hawaiian, and partner airlines
The sweet spot: Want to transfer Bilt points to Alaska Airlines? Atmos Rewards is the program, and among the major banks, Bilt is the only way in. Use this partner for short American Airlines hops and some of the cheapest one-way business-class prices to Europe from the Northeast, with no fuel surcharges added.
Who it's for: All Bilt points earners, full stop. If you're building a balance through your rent payments, Atmos should be your loyalty program of choice. West Coast travelers who live within Alaska's network will get the most out of it.
The catch: Every partner award carries a non-refundable fee per person. (Waive it with Atmos's premium co-brand credit card.) And if a partner flight cancels, Alaska's thin international network means rebooking help can be limited.
Transfer Bilt points to Emirates Skywards for Dubai and “fifth-freedom” routes
The sweet spot: Bilt is the last major currency with a full 1:1 transfer ratio to Emirates; every other bank devalued or fully dropped the partnership. Award seats stay available year-round in every cabin, and Emirates flies unusual nonstop routes that never reach Dubai. These so-called “fifth-freedom” routes travel between two countries that don’t include the airline’s home base, which is how Emirates ends up flying you from New York to Milan, for example.
Who it's for: Travelers heading to Dubai, or to Africa through a Dubai connection. It also fits anyone who wants a truly premium cabin.
The catch: Emirates runs on the pricier side, both in miles and fees, but the full-value transfer ratio is what keeps the math working. Cancel flex awards for free; Saver awards charge a small fee to cancel, so always check the fare type.
Transfer Bilt points to Air France-KLM Flying Blue for Europe flights
The sweet spot: Flying Blue is the most flexible Europe loyalty program. Award availability is wide from lots of US gateways. Flying Blue transfer bonuses are common.
Who it's for: Fliers to Europe who want dependable award seats, and anyone flying Delta on points. Book Delta flights through Flying Blue as a SkyTeam partner, usually with lower fees than the alternatives.
The catch: Flying Blue's pricing fluctuates, so the same route can be priced very differently week to week. Check the live price before you transfer your points.
Transfer Bilt points to Aer Lingus AerClub for low-fee flights to Ireland
The sweet spot: Aer Lingus doesn't add fuel surcharges on its own award tickets. That can make the cash cost of a transatlantic award startlingly low. Aer Lingus also flies nonstop to Dublin from US airports that other airlines don’t serve, like Hartford, Indianapolis, and Nashville.
Who it's for: Anyone whose home airport has a nonstop Aer Lingus flight. It may be the only transatlantic nonstop you have, and it’s priced competitively in points and cash.
The catch: There’s a lot of value in economy, but business class seats are tough to find. Aer Lingus usually releases just one business-class award seat per flight, so your chances of scoring it are not always great. And if your final destination isn't Ireland, connecting through Dublin may cost you so much time that the savings aren’t worth it.

How do Bilt transfer bonuses work on Rent Day?
A Bilt transfer bonus gives you extra miles when you move points to a specific partner during a specific promotion window, and Bilt runs them more often than any of its competitors. Most of these promos launch on Rent Day, the first of each month. The bonus partners change month to month, and scale with your Bilt status. Paying with Bilt Cash (Bilt's other, more cash-like member currency) can boost it further at the Platinum status tier, when offered. One gotcha here: these transfer bonuses are capped, so only a set number of points qualify for the boosted rate.
No other card runs transfer bonuses this robust, or this often. For people who are committed to learning all the nuances, Rent Day is the best recurring transfer bonus in the business.
Two rules to keep in mind here: Don't wait for a bonus to book a trip; award prices shift, and the seat you can see today may be gone next month. And don't transfer speculatively just because a bonus percentage looks big. Airlines devalue their currencies all the time and you’re better off preserving their value right in your Bilt account. If there’s a bonus that applies to a trip you already planned, consider that a green light. Bilt bonuses recur often enough that you should keep checking them regularly. Here’s our list of current transfer bonuses; check it before you move points.
Which Bilt transfer partners are not a 1:1 ratio?
Almost every Bilt transfer partner uses a 1:1 ratio, except for the two hotel brands. Accor Live Limitless costs you points on the way in. At the 3:2 ratio, 3,000 Bilt points become 2,000 Accor points, so you’ll give up a third of your balance before you've booked anything. I Prefer Rewards goes the other way. At a 1:2 transfer ratio, 2,000 Bilt points become 4,000 I Prefer points. The doubled balance feels good, but pricing isn't very competitive to begin with.
The rule of thumb here is simple. When a transfer shrinks your points balance, the partner has to offer meaningfully cheaper prices per point. Otherwise, this transfer doesn’t really make sense. When moving your points grows your balance, that alone doesn't make the program a good deal. Run the math on the specific stay before you commit.
How do you transfer Bilt points to a partner program?
You transfer Bilt points through the Bilt app or web site: Pick the desired partner, link your loyalty account, choose an amount, and confirm. Note that you’ll need to create an account with any loyalty partner where you want to move points.
Your points should appear instantly in the partner account, though Southwest can take up to 72 hours. The minimum is 2,000 points, and you're required to move them in 1,000-point increments. When you achieve a Built status level of Silver or higher, based on your spend level, you can transfer a minimum of 1,000 points. For a full walkthrough with screenshots, see our step-by-step guide to how to transfer Bilt points.
Two things to know before you move your points. First, the loyalty account you transfer into has to be your own, with a name that matches your Bilt account. Second, transfers are one way. Once your points become airline miles, they can’t come back.
To prevent problems, find the desired award seat first, then transfer, then book. point.me searches live award availability across Bilt's partners and gives you step-by-step transfer and booking instructions. Once you find your flight, always confirm availability on the airline’s own site, so you never move points that you can’t use.
How do you transfer Bilt points to non-partner airlines like Delta?
You can't transfer Bilt points to Delta directly, but you can book Delta flights anyway. Airlines sell award seats through their alliance partners, so programs in the same alliance can book seats on each other's flights. So to fly an airline Bilt doesn't partner with, move your points to one of its alliance partners (an indirect, or "workaround," partner) and book there.
Here are some workaround options for booking the most popular travel brands with Bilt points.
Airline you want to fly | Alliance | How to book it with Bilt points |
Delta Air Lines | SkyTeam | Transfer to Air France-KLM Flying Blue (usually lower fees) or Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, then book the Delta flight there |
American Airlines | oneworld | Transfer to Atmos Rewards, The British Airways Club, Cathay Pacific Asia Miles, or Qatar Airways Privilege Club, then book the American flight there |
Lufthansa / Swiss / Austrian | Star Alliance | Transfer to United MileagePlus, Air Canada Aeroplan, or avianca lifemiles, then book there |
ANA | Star Alliance | Transfer to United MileagePlus or Air Canada Aeroplan, then book the ANA flight there |
One warning before you try booking a flight through a workaround partner: These indirect bookings have more moving parts, and a transfer into the wrong program is irreversible. This is where point.me can help. Check every direct Bilt partner and its alliance routes with one search, and learn which program can actually book your preferred seat before you move your points.
How do Bilt transfer partners compare to Chase, Amex, Capital One, and Citi?
Bilt has the strongest partner list of the major transferable currencies, but earning these points can be challenging. Sure, it’s nice to earn on rent or your mortgage, but the other banks out-earn Bilt on everyday spend. That's why Bilt so often ends up as a second currency for points fans, rather than their base program.
Bilt vs. Chase transfer partners
The overlap between the Bilt and Chase partner lists is the point. Hyatt and United, the two programs that make Chase special, are both on Bilt's list, and after Chase moved its mid-tier cards to a 4:3 ratio for transfers to Hyatt, Bilt is a good, low-fee way to keep the full 1:1 value without a premium card. There's no real Chase-or-Bilt decision to make. If you pay rent, hold both. See Chase transfer partners.
Bilt vs. Amex transfer partners
Bilt covers Amex's two real soft spots, Hyatt and United, both at a 1:1 ratio, and adds Alaska through Atmos. Amex beats Bilt for ease of everyday-earning, but it also brings ANA, Delta, and Hilton to the table. See Amex transfer partners.
Bilt vs. Capital One transfer partners
Capital One has broad coverage and easy everyday earning; Bilt has its strong set of transfer partners. If you’re comparing Bilt and Capital One because they both transfer to JAL, consider this: If your Bilt balance fully covers an award on JAL, use Bilt first. Its full 1:1 transfer ratio beats Capital One's reduced 4:3 ratio every time. See Capital One transfer partners.
Bilt vs. Citi transfer partners
Citi has some partner gaps that Bilt patches easily: Hyatt, United, and Alaska, namely. Citi's list of Star Alliance partners is thin, and Bilt reaches both United and Aeroplan, the two Star Alliance programs with the friendliest rebooking policies. See Citi transfer partners.
What are the watch-outs with Bilt transfer partners?
The partner list is the best in the business, but the rest of the Bilt experience deserves a clear-eyed look before you commit to Bilt as your only currency.
The cards are issued by Cardless, a newer issuer without the decades of operational polish behind Chase or Amex, and the growing pains show up in real ways: Transactions get mislabeled and put in the wrong categories, card issues linger unresolved, and customer service runs almost entirely on chatbots. It's better than it was at the rocky Bilt 2.0 launch, and it's getting there. If you base your whole points life on Bilt, bring your patience.
The earning system has the steepest learning curve of any major currency. Each card makes you choose an earning model, and the right choice depends on the amount of your rent or mortgage, and whether you can match that in everyday card spend. Without meaningful rent or mortgage payments running through Bilt, balances build slowly.
A few partner-specific traps:
Skip Hilton Honors transfers from Bilt. Amex points transfer to Hilton at 1:2; Bilt points transfer at 1:1. A Bilt transfer would need a bonus of at least 100% just to match Amex's everyday ratio.
Treat Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards, and Wyndham as partners to use only when you need to top-up an existing balance. Move just enough points to these partners to complete a booking you already have your eye on.
Southwest is a direct Bilt partner, but temper your expectations. The airline’s award pricing now fluctuates with the cash fare, and the Companion Pass (the perk that often makes Southwest loyalty worthwhile) is earned only through Southwest's own credit cards, not points you transfer in.
Bilt’s partners and their transfer ratios change often. The math for Rent Day bonuses changes every month. Confirm the current transfer ratio in the Bilt app before every transfer, and search live availability before you commit.
Bilt transfer partners FAQs
What's the point.me take on Bilt transfer partners?
If you're interested in Bilt, there are quirks to be aware of. It's a rather new rewards program that scaled within a very short time, so you’ll need a lot of patience when you're getting started.
— Adam Morvitz, CEO and Founder, point.me
Bilt has the strongest partner list of any transferable currency and a complex setup that requires learning and patience. Bilt punches above its weight: direct access to United, Hyatt, JAL, and Alaska's Atmos program in one currency, plus recurring Rent Day bonuses that no one else matches. And of course, it’s the only place you can earn points on your rent or mortgage.
For most people, Bilt works best as the complement that fills another currency's gaps. For the single-currency purist who loves the list, it gets the job done.
